How to Use Essential Oils

AROMATICALLY
Rub oils between your palms, cup your hands and inhale.
Add oils to hot water, cover your head with a towel and breathe the steam.
Use oils with a diffuser.

TOPICALLY
Use oils directly on desired area and massage into the skin.  Some oils need to be diluted before applying to your skin.  Be sure to read the bottle of all oils before applying.

INTERNALLY   (I only recommend Young Living Oils for use internally)
Place drops into a gelatin capsule and take with water.
Add oil to a glass of water, juice, yogurt or plant based milk.
Always follow product labels before using.

Personal Examples:
Aromatically:  I use an oil diffuser.  It's great for purifying the air and breathing in to relax or keep germs at bay.  I have another diffuser upstairs in the bedroom for use at night. We have a few favorite oils to use at night to help relax and get a full night's sleep.

Topically:  I have made a few roller bottles to use with some of our favorite oils.  I add coconut oil as a carrier oil and then the oil or oil blend to it.  It's nice to have it on hand and ready to use.  I have also made body butter (lotion) that I use daily.  It keeps my skin hydrated in the winter and smells amazing.  I have also made:  body scrubs, lip balm, epson salt blends, pre and after shave sprays...which I will have listed on the blog.

Internally:  I have added the lemon oil to my olive oil to put on popcorn as well as on our vegetables at dinner.  I've also added various oils to my tea for immune support when starting to feel a cold coming on.  Recently I ordered empty capsules so that I can make my own mix when I would like to use them that way.  Not all oils are to be taken internally, so please read  your labels.
